Aviv Kaufman
1989(Israel)-
Aviv Kaufman (born August 8, 1989) is an Israeli director, screenwriter, and producer. Although primarily a film teacher in the Israeli South, Kaufman has gradually expanded his role within the Israeli film industry.
Born in Ramat Gan, Israel, and generally having grown up in Modi'in, Aviv claims to have first fallen in love with cinema in his High School years in the aftermath of his parents' divorce, when he joined his school's film club. As part of the club, Aviv directed and wrote the short High School film "A Birthday From The Movies," which won the Best High School Screenplay award in Israel's Central District in 2007. As a result of this success, Aviv chose to continue pursuing film as an adult. After saving up money through being an extra in series like "Irreversible", "Hatufim", and the American "Homeland" - Aviv enrolled in Sapir College in pursuit of a bachelor's degree in cinema. And ever since finishing college, Aviv has been a teacher for film studies in the Israeli South as part of a new generation of Southern Israeli cinema.
More recently, Aviv has found success through his role in the series 'One Day In October', which went on to be aired on yes TV and HBO Max.
