Nikunj Hota completed a diploma in filmmaking from FTII Odisha. He later moved to Mumbai, where he has worked as an assistant editor on various Hindi films and web series. His editorial debut was the film Bhediya Dhasaan/Sheep Barn. He is now known for his directorial debut film, Mehermunda.
